Terms of Use
How the HalalDine data may be used
1. The data belongs to us
The restaurant listings, ratings, reviews, halal statuses, opening hours and related information published on HalalDine are the property of SEVERZKI, compiled from public sources and community submissions and then curated and verified by hand. The directory exists to be browsed and used in the HalalDine app — it is not a free database for other applications, websites or services.
2. What you may do
You may freely view, search and navigate the directory in your browser, use the installable app, and share individual restaurant pages with friends and family. Suggesting, correcting and reviewing restaurants is welcome and encouraged.
3. What you may not do
Without our prior written permission you may not: download, copy, scrape, crawl, mirror or otherwise extract the HalalDine data in bulk (manually or with scripts, bots, crawlers or any automated tool); copy, republish, redistribute, resell or embed the data, in whole or in part, into any other website, application, dataset or service; or use the data to train, fine-tune or build competing or derivative products. This includes the raw data files and API endpoints that the app uses.
4. Protection and enforcement
The site actively monitors for automated access. Requests that appear to come from scripts or data-harvesting tools may be blocked, throttled, or served unusable data. We hold records that can identify illegitimate copies of the directory, and we reserve the right to take legal action (including claims for damages and our enforcement costs) against anyone who misuses the data. Nothing in these terms prevents us from removing or limiting access at any time.
5. Licensing the data (fair use of the data, done right)
If you run a business, app or service that would genuinely benefit from this data, talk to us instead of copying it. Reasonable licenses for redistribution, syndication and commercial use are available. Contact us through the About page for details.
6. Effective date
These terms apply from 8 October 2026 and may be updated at any time; continued use of the site constitutes acceptance.
